Getting Used to Your Nail Enhancements
- Nail can take some getting used too that's why I recommend you have them at a manageable length if it's your first time into the world of nails, once you become accustom to them, they'll start to feel as natural as your own nails.
- Make sure you book a regular re-balance appointment. It's a good idea to book a series of appointments at once so you get the same time every two to three weeks.
- If you notice your nail enhancements lifting don't bite, pick or pull at your enhancements, this can lead to weakening or breakage and can cause damage or thinning of your natural nails. please contact me as soon as possible for a repair.
Around the House
- Wear rubber gloves when doing those lovely household chores or gardening. Detergents and solvents can be harmful to the nail plate, so don't forget your marigolds!
- Treat your nails with care, be especially careful with, car doors, kitchen cupboards, ring pulls and switches, they are all nail enemies and can cause breakages, so try to use the balls of your fingers and a table knife for things like ring pulls.
- Habits are habits but don't tap your nails, this can lead to your enhancements becoming weak.
- When applying self tan or hair dyes, wear gloves as these products can discolour your enhancements.
What Products Should I Use on My New Enhancements?
- It's important to use cuticle oil day and night. Massaging it into your nail enhancements will help to keep them flexible, prolong their life and keep your cuticles nourished and conditioned.
- Invest in a moisturising hand lotion that will penetrate the skin, leaving your hands supple and soft.
- When removing nail enamel always use an approved non-acetone nail polish remover, polish removers that contain acetone can cause damage to your enhancements.
- If you would like your enhancements removed please contact me, I will be able to remove it safely by using and professional product remover or the appropriate method and give you a mini manicure to restore moisture and condition to the natural nail.

Aftercare Advice for Mehndi |
"Natural Decoration for the Body" |
Points to Consider
Before having Mehndi applied you need to take in to consideration that it will dye your skin and will be present for 1-2 week.
Medical
Please advise me of any illness, allergy or injuries which may prevent you from being able to have it applied for instance, skin disorders, bruises, recent scar tissue, allergies, edema/swelling and cuts/abrasions.
Allergies
There are many recipes for making henna please let me know if you are allergic to any off the following ingredient.
Tea, coffee, sugar, lemon, eucalyptus & clove oil.
Contra-Actions
Henna is a UV blocker and can produce a negative (the complete opposite) design after the mehndi has faded, if the area has been exposed to the sun.
When the colour starts to fade, it may look patchy as some areas fade quicker than others. For females the design is less intense at the time of you menstrual cycle.
Aftercare
- Avoid smudging the design and allow it to dry for at least 30min-2hrs after application.
- Keep the area dry for at least 12hours after application.
- Henna is quite drying so moistures the area frequently.
- Use a gentle exfoliating cream to help remove remnants of an old design when it begins to fade.
- Avoid UV rays.
